Would like support for matching URLs seen anywhere in a Markdown file, not just those formatted as actual links. By that I mean only URLs included in the format [*](*) seem to be matched, but not the URLs I have to write out in metadata or those included as numbered sources at the bottom of the file. This is pretty annoying.
As far as I know there’s no support for site contexts/highlighting from regular Markdown files. It only seems to be for Org-mode files, but the matching doesn’t seem to have much structure other than the link being included in the same paragraph as the content. The seems like it’d be easy to extend over the MD file format.
